I designed this CD cover for the Debut Аlbum of a band called Fragments of Existence. Basically, everything is made by me from scratch, including all processes from concept creation, modeling, shading and texturing, lighting, rendering, and final post production. I use a Blender 3d v2.67 and Cycles as Render engine. After all, I made the final post-production in Photoshop.
Render time for each piece – 27:00 min., resolution full HD.
The group was in the process of recording for the last year, and I had the time to build this project for more than just a CD cover.
I’m not a metal fan at all, but based on the title, lyrics and the story of this Album and related to the band history I came up with the idea of different old mechanical fragments – parts which collaborating to each other into a new “organism”, in the form of a musical instrument – Cube.
Fragments Of Existence is a metal band based in Sofia, Bulgaria. The band was established in November 2012. The genre is experimental/progressive/ melodic/death metal.
